Riccardo joined Orms in 2022, bringing experience from previous roles as an architect and BIM coordinator in two London-based design studios. He holds a joint degree in architecture and engineering from the University of Pisa, qualifying as an engineer in 2013 and as an architect in 2014, combining technical and design expertise. In 2024, he became Project Associate – BIM Manager, where he leads the development and implementation of BIM strategies across projects. Riccardo is also an artist, and has been commissioned to create public artworks for Orms projects at 80 New Bond Street and One Hanover Street.
What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture integrates technology with design to achieve better outcomes and greater efficiency. As Information Manager on several BIM-led projects at Orms—most recently the refurbishment and extension of One Hanover Street and 75 London Wall—I oversee the implementation of project-specific BIM standards across the full design team. I also manage clash detection between all consultant models, helping to resolve coordination issues early. This ensures a more streamlined design process and reduces the risk of delays during construction.
