M.Arch (Dist), BSc (Hons) Architecture

Nikola joined Orms in November 2018 as a registered Architect, having gained his Part 3 qualification at the Bartlett in 2015 following a master’s degree from the Welsh School of Architecture. His professional experience spans two major architectural centres—New York and London—where he developed expertise across automotive, higher education, mixed-use and commercial projects. This diverse background has equipped him with a versatile approach to architectural challenges, blending international design perspectives with technical rigour. At Orms, Nikola has been heavily involved in multiple large mixed-use buildings, such as The Ribbon on Oxford Street and the Waterhouse Estate in Holborn.

What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture means applying technical excellence and regulatory knowledge to create buildings that function flawlessly while responding sensitively to their context. As a member of the technical quality review working group at Orms, I help establish and maintain standards across our practice, ensuring our designs meet both current legislative requirements and our own exacting criteria. By assisting teams on delivery and providing guidance on up-to-date legislation, I contribute to our collective ability to transform ambitious design concepts into buildable and exceptional spaces.
