Colin joined Orms in 2012 and became a director in 2017, bringing over 20 years' experience across commercial, education, residential, workplace and retail sectors. He currently leads several high-profile commercial projects, including a reuse first reimagining of 75 London Wall in the City of London and several mixed-use schemes in the West end of London, including an innovative hybrid timber new build office and retail scheme for Hines UK in Soho Square. As head of Orms' Sustainability Group and our research programme into Circular Economy principles, he drives practical applications of sustainable design that enhance both environmental performance and user experience.
What does ultrapractical mean to you? When designing spaces we need to constantly challenge ourselves to go beyond normal expectations, our buildings need to be deeply functional but have a generosity of spirit for all those that interact with them.
