BA (Hons), MArch

Kurtis joined Orms in July 2022 after graduating from The London School of Architecture where he focused on the re-use of derelict Grade II listed Bromley Hall School in East London. His graduate project converted a school into a factory, responding to the need for more London-based manufacturing hubs—demonstrating his interest in adaptive reuse and urban regeneration. At Orms, he has contributed to significant projects including Waterhouse Square, St Thomas Yard and 1 Hanover Street, working alongside directors John and Simon to develop sensitive design solutions for complex urban sites.

What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture means creating designs that address real-world challenges through thoughtful, implementable solutions. My undergraduate work explored Britain's energy network, culminating in 'Nuclear Thermae'—a project nominated for the RIBA bronze medal that reimagined energy infrastructure as public space.
