Gwyneth joined Orms in 2025, bringing specialist expertise in Passive House design and sustainable architecture. A graduate of the Yale School of Architecture, Gwyneth brings extensive experience working on projects across both the UK and the US. Her interest in sustainability focuses on new approaches to make best use of historic sites. These projects range from constrained infills, to major redevelopment of historic industrial assets. She joins us on 75 London Wall which emphasises sustainability through retention and restoration.
What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture emerges where sustainability meets deliverability. My experience implementing Passive House principles within complex heritage conversions has taught me that effective design responds to both environmental imperatives and practical constraints. At Orms, I'm excited to contribute to projects balancing technical performance with human experience, creating buildings that are environmentally responsible and spatially generous. By integrating sustainable strategies early and collaborating across disciplines, we can develop innovative yet buildable solutions.
