Daniel joined Orms in February 2016, bringing an international perspective from his architectural education at the University of Granada, Spain and the Faculté d'Architecture et d'Urbanisme in Mons, Belgium. He has been a key member of the team delivering St Giles Circus, a complex mixed-use scheme in central London, where over a three-year period he led construction packages for both restoration and new build elements across 10 properties on Denmark Street. His portfolio also includes the interior fit-out of St Giles and high-profile projects such as Burlian House (80 New Bond Street) for Hines.

What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture means creating buildings that seamlessly integrate heritage, sustainability and contemporary use. As project architect on the comprehensive redevelopment of 55-58 Pall Mall, I am delivering a highly sustainable mixed-use scheme featuring facade retention, basement retention, new hybrid CLT and steel frame, and chilled ceilings—technical solutions that respond to both environmental imperatives and practical constraints. The design includes a series of roof terraces for tenants informed by the historic grain of the site, demonstrating how contextual analysis can generate spaces that enhance user experience while respecting urban heritage.
