Celia joined Orms in October 2017, bringing international perspective from her architectural education at Victoria University Wellington, New Zealand and subsequent professional experience in both Christchurch and London. Prior to Orms, she spent two years at a high-end residential firm in North London, developing expertise in sophisticated residential design across new build and alteration projects. This followed three years working in Christchurch's post-earthquake environment, where she focused on educational and community projects—gaining valuable experience in resilient design and reconstruction within challenging contexts.

What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture means creating responsive solutions that address complex challenges through thoughtful, efficient design. At Orms, I apply this approach across commercial, residential and mixed-use projects, including my current work on 75 London Wall. My experience in post-disaster Christchurch taught me how architecture can serve communities through pragmatic yet inspiring spaces, while my high-end residential background demonstrated how detailed design thinking enhances everyday experiences. By combining these perspectives, I develop architectural solutions that balance technical performance with human-centred design, creating buildings that work beautifully for both clients and users.
