Alice joined Orms in 2023 after working as an Architectural Assistant in the Housing and Planning department at Pembrokeshire County Council. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and a Masters of Architecture from The University of Liverpool, where her thesis project 'UnCommon Ground' was nominated for an RIBA Silver Medal. Alice brings experience in both residential and commercial sectors, with a particular interest in contextual design and heritage integration.

What does ultrapractical mean to you? At Orms I have primarily been part of the novated design team for The Ribbon, a commercial new build at the junction of Oxford Street and Wells Street. Working on The Ribbon has deepened my understanding of ultrapractical architecture. Leading Stage 5 packages and working through variations has taught me how thoughtful design can simultaneously honour site history and create contemporary spaces with spectacular views. This practical experience complements my ongoing RIBA Part III studies at the University of Westminster, reinforcing my belief that truly effective architecture balances contextual sensitivity with technical rigour and innovative problem-solving.
