Orms recently hosted a breakfast briefing for a group of industry leaders to introduce the UK Net Zero Carbon Standard for assessing both new and existing buildings. As project manager for the steering group for the past 11 months, I helped to shape the new rulebook alongside a broad coalition of partners, including the Better Buildings Partnership, BRE, The Carbon Trust, CIBSE, The Institute of Structural Engineers, LETI, RIBA, RICS and the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC).

This broad alliance means that the UK Net Zero Carbon Standard will become the authoritative yardstick against which buildings can demonstrate their carbon rating. Our unique insights are already helping us and our clients to meet the challenges of the 2050 world, so if you’d like to join us for our next briefing please do get in touch.
