What does ultrapractical mean to you? My dissertation 'Vision or Vandalism' explored the social importance of heritage retention and the impacts of demolition on local sense of place, bringing community voices to the forefront through workshops. This research directly informs my work at Orms on Lincoln's Inn Fields, where we are transforming dated office space into a first-in-class commercial offering while respecting the building's heritage. To me, being ultrapractical means finding the delicate balance between preservation and innovation, creating spaces that honour history while meeting contemporary needs. Outside work, I am an avid architectural sketcher, documenting lesser-loved historical buildings to deepen my understanding of our built environment.
