Heidi joined Orms in 2026, having previously spent two years supporting the Managing Director and senior leadership team at the Open Data Institute. She brings seven years' experience as an Executive Assistant, including prior roles at Clive Sall Architecture and Chapman Waterworth Architects. Her expertise spans board governance, diary and travel coordination for multiple senior stakeholders, and large-scale event delivery. Heidi co-convened the Operational Support network at ODI and played a key role in delivering the organisation's annual summit for over 2,000 delegates.
What does ultrapractical mean to you?
For me, ultrapractical is about creating clarity and momentum behind the scenes. It means anticipating pressures, building systems that genuinely support people, and handling complexity with calm and care. When operational foundations are strong, teams can focus on collaboration, creativity and impact. That balance between structure and adaptability feels especially important in a practice shaped by shared ownership and responsibility, where thoughtful support helps ideas move from discussion into action.
