What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture respects context while embracing innovation—a philosophy I apply as Project Architect for 33 Jermyn Street's sensitive refurbishment within the St James's Conservation Area. The project exemplifies how heritage buildings can be thoughtfully updated with high-specification modern features that enhance rather than compromise their character. Beyond project work, my role as a Women in Architecture mentor reflects the ultrapractical approach of sharing knowledge and supporting others to navigate the profession's challenges, building a more inclusive and resilient architectural community.
