Sustainability Design Specialist

BA, MSci

Angelina joined Orms in 2023, bringing specialist knowledge in sustainable environmental design. She built her foundation at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (2011–2017) and developed practical experience at Dmytro Aranchii Architects (2016–2021).As a Chevening Scholar, she continued her education at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, studying Sustainable Environmental Design. She also spent a year as a Sustainable Design Intern at Eckersley O’Callaghan. Angelina’s interests lie at the intersection of research and design. Her Master’s dissertation explored how to reimagine typical refugee housing through a more sustainable and human-centred lens, focusing on both environmental impact and the wellbeing of displaced people.

What does ultrapractical mean to you? At Orms, I lead Whole Life Carbon Assessments for projects including our 'Home From Home' office design, applying rigorous methodology to quantify and reduce environmental impact across entire building lifecycles. Ultrapractical sustainability means balancing theoretical ideals with implementable solutions that deliver meaningful carbon reductions. Beyond my formal role, I contribute to our Wellbeing and Architecture Illustrations teams while maintaining connections to my Ukrainian heritage through volunteer masterclasses in architecture for children and educational lectures for Ukrainian universities.
