Alexandra joined Orms in 2021, bringing experience from previous roles at BPR Architects and PDP London. A fully qualified architect with degrees from the University of Sheffield, The London School of Architecture and Westminster University, she specialises in commercial and higher education projects. Alexandra combines technical expertise with collaborative leadership, demonstrated through her role as Facade Package lead on the complex 55-58 Pall Mall development in central London.
What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture balances technical precision with adaptable problem-solving. Leading both facade and internal packages on our 55-58 Pall Mall project—which integrates new build elements with facade retention—requires navigating complex constraints while maintaining design integrity. This approach extends to my leadership of the 'Part 3 support group', where I help colleagues translate theoretical knowledge into practical application. Ultrapractical means creating architecture that works beautifully while addressing real-world challenges through collaborative innovation.
