Akua joined Orms in 2025, having previously worked as Document Controller at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios. She holds a BSc in Architecture from the University of East London and brings experience across architectural practices and structural engineering, including Project Coordinator roles at Adjaye Associates and Price & Myers. Her background as an architectural assistant gives her insight into how design teams work. Akua specialises in document control systems including Trimble, Aconex and Newforma, QA processes, and creating tracking reports that support project coordination and information workflow across multidisciplinary teams.
What does ultrapractical mean to you?
Having studied Architecture, I understand how crucial accurate, accessible information is to design teams. Being ultrapractical means building systems that work quietly in the background—making sure the right drawings reach the right people at the right time, so architects and consultants can focus on the work itself. It's about attention to detail, staying calm under pressure, and anticipating problems before they escalate. When document control is done well, it creates clarity and trust across a project, enabling collaboration rather than slowing it down.
